The Well—Group Wellness Circle

An hour long Free Monthly Virtual Class dedicated to caregivers and women in hormonal transitions.

Amidst these tumultuous times, I’ve been searching for a way to provide some comfort and ease to those who already have too much on their plates.

Each month’s circle will have a dedicated topic including practical strategies, mind-body exercises, journal prompts and opportunities for sharing. 

Digestion and the Nervous System is the focus for our September circle. You can sign-up for each monthly circle individually or save your spot each month.

For October, Rest—an Essential Practice for Healing will be our focus and we’ll dive into ways to cultivate mindset and time for rest amidst the busyness of the holidays.

Digestion and The Nervous System

Our digestion—and how we receive nourishment from our food—are intimately connected to the state of our nervous system. In the last decade, the gut-brain connection has received more attention and research especially for gastrointestinal issues that commonly evade allopathic medicine. 

If you’ve struggled with issues like chronic digestive issues like Irritable Bowel Syndrome, impaired motility or Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth—this class is for you. 

Join us in September’s wellness circle to discover how your body’s digestive processes are influenced by your nervous system. You will learn about the complex communication between your brain, vagus nerve and digestive organs; along with how this relationship impacts your overall digestive function and wellbeing.

What we’ll cover in this class: 

  • The Vagus Nerve—what it is and how it affects digestion. 

  • Somatic and mindfulness practices that impact the Vagus nerve.

  • How safety and digestion are intertwined.

  • Exploration of mindful eating and journal prompts. 

  • Time for sharing.

This class is for you if:

  • You are currently juggling way more than seems sane for any one human. 

  • You are a caregiver to children, aging parents or loved ones. 

  • You identify with being in “The Sandwich” generation. 

  • You are going through a hormonal life transition—becoming a parent/mother, postpartum or perimenopause.
